Jimmie "Daryl" Long

Daryl Long passed away in Macon on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the age of 61. He was born on August 14, 1960 in Montezuma, GA, the son of the late Carolyn and Elvin Lunsford. A 1978 graduate of Macon County High School, Daryl graduated at the top of his class. He went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army Reserves and graduate from Mercer University. Daryl eventually became the owner and operator of the esteemed ICB Construction Group.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter, Hannah Gross, her husband, Jon, and their children, Jaxon, Emily and Ella; daughter, Rebecca Clark, her husband, Doug, and their children, Haley, Callie, Laynee, Silas, Saylor and Griffin; mother of Daryl’s daughters, Kathy Long; significant other, Raquel Aldana and her son, Mateo; and business partner, Ronnie Blalock and his family.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 28, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2022, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Daryl will be laid to rest in Perry Memorial Gardens following the service.
