Jimmitine Lyles King

November 27, 1941 — April 9, 2021

Our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Jimmitine Lyles King, left us on Friday, April 9, 2021. She is gone but will never be forgotten.

Born in Cochran, Georgia on November 27, 1941, Jimmitine was the daughter of the late Jim M. and Christine Cooper Lyles. On January 26, 1979, she married the late Paul David King, and together they raised three children. Jimmitine supported Paul in his 30-year career with the U.S. Naval Reserves eventually settling in Warner Robins. She retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and enjoyed attending Evergreen Baptist Church. For fun, Jimmitine loved to garden, paint, ceramics, and cook, but spending time with her family was where she was the happiest.

In addition to her parents and second husband, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Elton Louis Bryant, Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children, David King (Kathy) of Calhoun, Elton Bryant, Jr. of Bonaire, and Kellye King of Baconton; grandchildren, Elton Bryant III (Kristen) of Cochran and Mallory King of Byron; great-grandchildren, Shane, Reese and Brigitte Bryant; sisters, Louise Lyles Rogers (Buford) of Eastman and Betty Lyles Abney of Cochran; and several nieces and nephews.

Jimmitine will be laid to rest next to her husband, Paul, with a graveside funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021, Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla. Reverend Marty Watson will officiate.
