On the morning of Friday, December 17, 2021, Jimmy D. Warren, entered into rest at the age of 83. He was born in Lakeland, GA on January 5, 1938, the son of the late Samp Warren and Ora Lee King Harris.
Jimmy dedicated 28 years to Norfolk Southern Railroad as a trainman before retiring. In his spare time, he loved fishing, especially with his granddaughters, and tending to his garden. Jimmy was also an avid Georgia Bulldogs football fan (GO DAWGS!), hardly missing a game. Aside from his favorite hobbies, doting on his grand and great-grandchildren was what he treasured the most.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Earnest E. Warren.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Warren, son, Joey Warren (Pandy), granddaughters, Haley Warren (Dario Carlos) and Cheyenne Warren (Keionte Tate), and great-granddaughters, Ava Jayde Carlos and Alaia Sarae Tate, all of Warner Robins. He also leaves behind a sister, Geraldine Guess of Valdosta.
Jimmy’s family will receive friends at McCullough Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., on Monday, December 20, 2021. He will be laid to rest with a graveside funeral service in Magnolia Park Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. that afternoon. Reverend Jeff Cummings will officiate.
