Plant City, FL – Jimmy Dean Rose, 50, died Tuesday, November 5, 2002, at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Georgia. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, in the Chapel of Hampton Funeral Home in Barbourville, Kentucky; interment will follow in Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday and Saturday nights from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Rose was born in Barbourville, KY. He was a retired supervisor from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corp. in Macon, GA, and was a member of Swan Lake Baptist Church in Barbourville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Alice Foley Rose; brother, Billie Joe Rose; and sister, Beverly Rose Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Bone Rose, Plant City, FL; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Dean, Jr., and Elizabeth Rose, Jones County, GA; and Jeffrey and Samantha Rose, Byron, GA; daughter, Ashlie Scruggs, Plant City, FL; three sisters, Marie Rice, Barbourville, KY; Alma Hubbs, Marshallville, GA; and Jean Burnette, Rose City, MI; and three grandsons, Arthur Levi Rose and Wyatt Sloan Rose, both of Jones County, GA, and Cameron Michael Rose, Byron, GA.
