Jimmy Harris

In the early afternoon hours of Tuesday, October 24, 2017, Jimmy Harris, 51, passed away unexpectedly.

Jimmy was born on August 30, 1966 in Fort Valley, Georgia. He was a graduate of Warner Robins High School’s Class of 1984. Following high school, Jimmy proudly served in the United States Navy and later the Navy Reserves, retiring after 20 years of faithful service. He also worked as a machine operator for Cemex for over 31 years. Jimmy had a zest for life; he loved to laugh and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed cooking, especially for the children and watching football, especially cheering for his favorite teams the Warner Robins High School Demons, the Florida Gators, and the San Francisco 49ers. However, his greatest joy came from time spent with his beloved family.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Adortha Harris.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Cindy Harris of Warner Robins; children, Joshua Williams of Brooklyn, New York; Jimmy Harris, Jr. of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Cameron Harris, Cortez Harris, Michaela Thomas, Kierstin Blasingame, and Kenadee Gant, all of Warner Robins; grandson, Jayvon Sinc; mother, Justyne Whitfield (Willie C.) of Perry; and sister, Sophia Johnson (David) of Statesboro.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Hope Church, 204 Sullivan Rd., Fort Valley, GA 31030 with Pastor Levi Rozier officiating. After the service, Jimmy will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
