With much sadness, the family announces the unexpected passing of Jo Ann Height, 64, in the early evening hours of Sunday, May 23, 2021. She is gone but will never be forgotten.
Born in Dublin, Georgia, on October 12, 1956, Jo Ann was the daughter of the late Ester Sam and Hattie Lou Holliman Height. She graduated in 1975 from Wilkinson County High School. She relished her time in being a full-time homemaker and excellent cook for her family. Jo Ann loved her children to the moon and back and loved to dote on her grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. Friendship Baptist Church in Allentown was her church home. Her kindness, compassion, and zest for life will be remembered by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her companion of 38 years, Benjamin Allen of Kathleen; children, Shikita Williams of Dry Branch, Jerry Allen (Sarah) of Davenport, Florida, Angela Allen of Warner Robins, Morris Allen of Kathleen and April Allen (Andre) of Warner Robins; 10 grandchildren; 5 sisters; 1 brother, and best friend, Sandra Bacon.
Visitation will be Friday, May 28, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2021, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Jo Ann will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
