Jo Ray Lifsey, 69, entered into rest on Thursday, September 23, 2010.
Mrs. Lifsey was born on August 13, 1941 in Columbus, Georgia. She was a member of High Street Unitarian Universalist Church in Macon. Jo retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where she worked as a Material Specialist. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, ceramics, art, and traveling. A member of the Bonsai Club, Jo was proud to help promote the art of the Bonsai. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Kenneth Ray; second husband, Jack D. Lifsey, her parents, John E. and Virgie Burdeshaw Reagan, and sister, Charlotte Reagan Spratling.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Kenneth Ray and his wife Charlotte, Conyers, GA; Dean Bloom and his wife Lisa, Buford, GA; Michael Daniel Lifsey, Pike County, GA; grandchildren; Joshua and Deborah Ray, Jessica Wilson, Peyton Bloom, and Daniel and Erica Lifsey; great grandchildren, Brody, Rivers, Colby and Raelyn; niece, Susan Brumley; nephew, Jon Spratling; great nieces, Jamie Marie Brumley and Abigail Spratling.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Rhett D. Baird officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be given to The Humane Society of Houston County, Inc., P.O. Box 9588, Warner Robins, Georgia 31095-9588.
