John B. Knight

John B. Knight, Sr., 80, entered into rest on Monday, August 18, 2014.

John was born on August 5, 1934, in Milan, Georgia. He retired from Winn Dixie after eighteen years as a Market Manager and Advantage Retail. John served two years in the United States Army. In his spare time he loved hunting, fishing, farming, and spending time with his family.

His parents, J.T. and Darcus Knight; brothers, John Thomas Yawn, and G.W. Yawn; sister Gussie Bowles; grandmother, Mary Yawn, and grandfather, John L. Yawn, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of fifty-six years, Estelle Knight; son John B. Knight, Jr. (Carla); daughter, Bamalynn Wright; grandchildren, Sherrod Gillis, Brandy Gillis (Jonathan), Brittany Knight, Hunter Dunlap (Jessica); great grandchildren, Carly Dunlap and M.J. Sandoval, and sister, Susie Cravey (John Robert).

Visitation will be Thursday, August 21, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
