John Burnard Williams, Sr.

John Burnard "J.B." Williams, Sr., 85, entered into rest on Thursday, May 13, 2010.

Mr. Williams was born on August 8, 1924, in New Orleans, Louisiana. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army Air Corp and served in World War II. He later was self-employed as a contractor for commercial and residential construction. An avid sports fan, he coached Little League baseball, enjoyed fishing and had a love for animals. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert M. Williams; son, John B. Williams, Jr.; and sister, Beulah W. Waite.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Cindy Boor, Warner Robins, Margaret Selph (Jimmy), Macon, and Robert H. Williams (Oksana), Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jarrett Boor, Christa Williams and Devlin Williams; niece, Pam Fellers, Fort Collins, Colorado; nephew, Jimmy Waite, Forsyth; and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, May 14, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Chaplain Aleisa O'Reilly officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care Options, 1125 Walnut Street, Macon GA 31201 or to the donor's favorite charity. The family would like to graciously thank Hospice Care Options, and Jennifer Spence and Lisa Roberts, for all their wonderful care.
