John David Smith

John David Smith, 53, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 1, 2008.

Mr. Smith was born on December 8, 1954 in Macon. He worked at Robins Air Force Base in civil service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins. His parents, Louis T. Smith and Sara Smith Bush, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of twenty-one years, Marion N. Smith; son, John David Smith, Jr.; daughters, Sara E. Smith and Jessica W. Sherman; son-in-law, Derek E. Sherman; grandchildren, Michael E. and Jacob D. Sherman; brothers, George M. Smith and Louis T. Smith, Jr.; and three sisters, Nancy S. Clarke Debbie B. Shumans and RuthAnn B. McGowan.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 4, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Dr. Jimmy R. Asbell, Jr., and Reverend Missy Blumenthal officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Methodist Home for Children & Youth, 304 Pierce Ave., Macon GA 31204.
