John Franklin Smith, Jr., 77, passed away on October 13, 2007 after a brief illness.
Mr. Smith was born on July 30, 1930 in Cochran, Georgia. A US Navy Veteran, he was self employed most of his life, working with Micro Technology Consultants (MTC) for the last thirteen years and also owned the Warner Robins Merle Norman. Mr. Smith was a member of Second Baptist Church. His parents, John F. Smith, Sr. and Helen A. Smith, and brother, Walton G. Smith, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Smith of Warner Robins; sons, Johnny Smith (Emma) of Warner Robins and Randy Smith (Karen) of Macon; grandchildren, Shawn and Michelle Smith, Felicia Dunnican and Toni Harvey and Courtlyn and Kyle Smith; great-grandchildren, Braden Smith and Cameron Smith; sister, Annette Knight (Alton) of Griffin; niece, Pam McClure (Chad) of Augusta and nephews, David Knight (Marie) of Griffin, and Mark Knight of Griffin.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 14, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, October 15, 2007 at 2:00 p.m., at Second Baptist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
