John "Jack" Soltis, Sr.

January 7, 1936 — December 31, 2021

John “Jack” Soltis, Sr., passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, December 31, 2021, at the age of 85. He was born the son of the late John Leo and Josephine Soltis in Elizabeth, NJ on January 7, 1936.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy Reserve and U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Jack retired from Grand Union Company as a meat cutter. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt and was a talented woodworker, as well. A funny man, Jack will be remembered as a bit of a nut who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving son, John T. Soltis, Jr. (Gretna) of Kathleen; and granddaughter, Anna Stiehr (Paul) of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Lillian Cooper Soltis.
