John Mark Stephens

John Mark Stephens, 61, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

John was born on October 11, 1961, in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Charley and Patsy Ann Stephens. John was a best friend to others and his mom’s “favorite” of the siblings. He loved to cook for the family for Sunday dinners and holidays. He loved his nieces and nephews and often took them to the candy store. John was a self-proclaimed dog-whisperer. He was a soft spoken, shy, but funny man who always had great one-liners. In his free time, he loved sports, fishing, NASCAR, and was a devout follower of Alabama football, The Atlanta Braves, and The Dallas Cowboys.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vicky Stephens.

His memory will forever be treasured by his siblings, Bruce Stephens (Kim) of Kathleen, Georgia, Debra Green of Warner Robins, Georgia, Lori Crawford (Gary), of Bonaire, Georgia, and Beth Harper (Bobby) of Perry, Georgia, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, May 15, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
