John Mason Tanner, 50, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014.
John was born on November 17, 1964 in Bossier City, Louisiana and was of the Baptist faith. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Reserves and most recently worked in management at the Salvation Army. John had many enjoyments and hobbies including politics, studying the Bible and computers and technology. Friends were extremely important to him. He was a good friend to many people and touched all of their lives in different ways.
His father, Eugene Tanner and brother, Jesse Tanner, preceded him in death.
John's memory will forever be treasured by his daughter, Jessica R. Kistler (Erik) of Suffolk, Virginia; granddaughter, Teagan Kistler; and mother, Jane Tanner of Warner Robins.
Visitation will be Monday, December 8, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests donations be given In Memory of John Mason Tanner to Salvation Army, 305 Green Street, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
