John Paul Moore, 65, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 21, 2014.
John was born on June 13, 1949 in Conway, South Carolina and was of the Baptist faith. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps where he served during the Vietnam War and obtained the rank of Sergeant. He then joined the United States Army and obtained the rank of Sergeant 1st Class.
An avid outdoorsman, John enjoyed hunting and raising Bantam chickens. He was a member of the R & A Sportsman's Club, as well. John was also a big family man who enjoyed nothing more than laughing, loving and spending quality time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
John's mother, Virginia Moore, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of seventeen years, Donna Moore of Byron; children, Emily Brumfield of McDonough and Keefe Preast (Terri) and Jennifer Tucker (Daniel), both of Perry; father, Paul Moore of Macon; grandchildren, Kayla Preast, Jordan Karchella, Lizzy Brumfield, Madison Preast, Bella Tucker and Emersyn Preast; brothers, Michael Moore of Madison, Georgia, Ricky Moore of Powder Springs, Georgia and Randy Moore (Janie) of Asheville, North Carolina; and a host of adoring nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 23, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
