John W. Lord, Sr.

John W. Lord, Sr., 69, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2003 at Houston Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, 100 N. Houston Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Mr. Lord was born in Wrightsville, Georgia, the son of the late Horace and Iris Lord. He was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base, where he worked in contract administration. He was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Lord of Warner Robins; children, James Suddeth of Warner Robins, Sherry Marshall (Jim) of Asheville, NC, and Wes Lord (Diane) of Arkansas; sister, Christine Ryan of Warner Robins; aunts, Ruth Smith and Olivia Hartley, both of Tennille; and three grandchildren.
