John Waymon Kile

December 8, 1954 — July 11, 2022

Waymon Kile, born in Macon, GA on December 8, 1954, passed away peacefully at home on the evening of Monday, July 11, 2022, at the age of 67. He was the son of the late John L. and Frances DeLay Kile.

A lifelong resident of middle Georgia, Waymon graduated from Warner Robins High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville. He worked for 35 and a half years as a postal clerk at the Warner Robins Post Office. Waymon was an avid sports fan, especially of Warner Robins High School Demon Football and Baseball and University of Georgia Bulldogs (GO DAWGS!). He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and enjoyed attending Centerville United Methodist Church.

Waymon is survived by his wife of 32 years, Joanne Kile; children, Matthew Kile (Allison Terry), Lindsey Starley (Chad) and Chris Cline (Lisa); grandchildren, Hudson Starley, Lexie Starley, Jaxson Cline, Victoria Ussery and Lauren Christl; and siblings, Inman Kile (Beverly) and Dell Bowlin (Bob).

Visitation with Waymon’s family will be on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Tommy Odum officiating. Mr. Kile will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Mausoleum following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Waymon to the Humane Society of Houston County, Inc., P.O. Box 9588, Warner Robins, GA 31095 or to the Centerville United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 600 N. Houston Lake Blvd., Centerville, GA 31028.
