In the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 20, 2017, 70 year old, Jack Elliott went to be with his Lord and Savior.
Jack was born on December 14, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois to the late John, Sr. and Charlotte Elliott. With great pride and honor, he served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his active duty service, Jack worked at Robins Air Force Base as an Aircraft Mechanic for 35 years before retiring. He was a Christian man who loved serving the Lord at Central Baptist Church and Kairos Prison Ministry. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
His memory will forever be treasured by his siblings, Deanne Yeager and Chuck Elliott; nephew, Michael Yeager; and niece Alicia Yeager, all of Springfield, Illinois.
Visitation with Jack's family will be Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McCullough. After the service, Jack will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery with Military Honors. Dr. Bob Dilks will officiate the service.
