Johnnie Van Herrington

Johnnie V. Herrington, Sr., 86, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2006 at Carl Vinson Vietnam Associations Medical Center. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with entombment following in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 with a visitation to follow until 8:00 P.M. at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund, 250 South Davis Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31093.

Mr. Herrington was born on January 16, 1920 in Hawkinsville, Georgia. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He retired from the United States Army and Robins Air Force Base. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. His parents, Benjamin F. and Birdie S. Herrington, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Imogene “Jean” S. Herrington, Warner Robins; children, Van Herrington (Sarah), Warner Robins; Joyce Hart, Florida; Margaret Potter (Jim), Mississippi; Gennie Marrett, Alabama; Judy Persuhn (Bob), Warner Robins; Johnny Morgan (Cindy), Warner Robins; Janice Sheffield (Harry), Florida; Lenora Storey (Mike), Michigan; Albert Morgan (Joyce), Warner Robins; brother, Parks Herrington, Cordele; sister, Lillian Holt (Earl), Albany; thirty-one grandchildren and thirty-nine great-grandchildren.
