Butch Barrett, 68, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 15, 2013.
Butch was born on January 29, 1944 in Trion, Georgia. A 1962 graduate of Warner Robins High School, he served in the United States Army in Germany and during the Vietnam Era and was a Purple Heart Recipient. Butch was also a former detective with the Warner Robins Police Department, a former firefighter with the Warner Robins Fire Department, and a retired Civil Service with Robins Air Force Base where he was a Sheet Metal Mechanic. He was an avid fisherman. His mother, Sue Pegg Barrett; and brother, Steve Barrett, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of forty-two years, Sara Jane Barrett, Bonaire; sons, Nicholas R. Johnson (Darlene), Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and Johnny W. Barrett, III (Shawna), Bonaire; father, Johnny W. Barrett, Sr. (Lynn), Kathleen; grandchildren, Chelsea and Kyle Johnson, Devin McDonald, and Johnny W. Barrett IV; and sister, Candace Spears (Dee), Trion, Georgia.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
