Jonathan David Lauffer, 45, entered into rest on March 14, 2023.
David was born on July 19, 1977, in Newport Beach, California. The family then relocated to Denver, Colorado. When David was seven, the family moved to and remained in Warner Robins, Georgia. David graduated from Warner Robins High School and Georgia Southern University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. After earning his degree, he worked in medical sales. The stories we tell about David, haven’t changed over the years. The only difference is now we have many more to tell as we continue to discover the lives he touched and the different ways he touched them. Although we knew he was humble, with each story told by someone he touched, we are learning humility defined him. His love for all creation was in his DNA. He could find beauty in a stick and a creepy critter. His family home became a wildlife refuge for any and every animal he came across. His sanctuary was his music. When he was home, you always could find him sitting on his stool with his headphones on playing the keyboard. We mourn our loss here on earth. We lost a son, a brother, an uncle and a good friend. At the same time (only divinely possible) we rejoice in what David gained as we rest knowing God had different but better plans for him for all of eternity. We will continue to add more stories and we will continue to hear the impact David had on others. His unselfish love will carry on and we hope those he touched, will pay it forward in loving memory.
