Jose Ramon Castro

Jose Ramon Castro, 95, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 18, 2010.

Mr. Castro was born on February 17, 1915 in Tampa, Florida. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Jose retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where he worked as a Supervisor in Material Management. Mr. Castro also served in the United States Army and the United States Marines during the Japanese Occupation and WWII. His parents, Antonio and Eugenia Castro, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of sixty eight years, Edna Castro, Warner Robins; children, Jose R. Castro, Jr. and his wife, Anna; Tony Castro and his wife, Laura; Elena Castro-Ross; grandchildren, Courtney Zamzoe (Gary), Brittany Engle (Geoffrey), Erica Nobles (Jarrod), Keith Castro, Danny Castro, Amanda Castro, Jason Ross (Lindsay), and Emily Greer (Nathan), Taylor Mays, Garrett Mays, Abby Mays; great grandchildren, Joshua, Ashlyn, Jessa, Craig and Ellis.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 21, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. until service time at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Heart of Georgia DDM, 615 Corder Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088
