On the evening of Friday, June 28, 2024, Joseph Patrick Curran, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, entered into eternal rest.
Joe was born on November 18, 1956, in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Lawrence Richard Curran, Jr. and Jeanette Moore Burke. With great pride he served his country in the United States Air Force prior to dedicating forty-five years of faithful service to Robins Air Force Base. Joe enjoyed simple pleasures found in the outdoors and was known for his green thumb spending countless hours tending to his garden with meticulous care. He could often be found indulging in his favorite pastimes, watching old westerns and sci-fi movies. His greatest joy was time spent with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joseph Curran, Jr.; sister, Margaret Ann Curran; brother Michael Stephen Burke and stepfather, William E. Burke.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of forty-six years, Denise Curran; children, Jessica Mercer (Paul) and Jenna McReynolds; grandchildren, Brennan Mercer, Kaitlyn McReynolds, Brandon Mercer and Kaylea McReynolds; brother, Lawrence Richard Curran, III (Wendy), stepsister, Robin Burke; and nieces and nephews, Lawrence Richard Camire (Jeanine), Miranda Ann Curran, Michael Stephen Burke, Jr. (Anna), and Ashlee Burke.
A memorial gathering with Joe’s family will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
