Joseph Andrews, Jr., 79, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 13, 2008.
Mr. Andrews was born on February 16, 1929 in Evergreen, Alabama. With pride and honor he served in the U. S. Air Force, participated in the Korean Conflict and subsequently continued to serve in the U. S. Air Force Reserves. Until retirement, he was employed at Robins Air Force Base as an Equipment Specialist. He built houses with his son and was a member of the Home Builders Association. Of the Baptist Faith, his church home was Central Baptist Church.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph D. Andrews, Sr. and Clara Mae Andrews, daughter, Linda Kay Andrews Dempsey and sister, Mary Lee Taylor.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of sixty years, Vivian Louise Andrews; son, Steve Andrews (Sharon), Warner Robins; grandchildren, Gerrit Dempsey, Steven Andrews, Jr., Millie Dempsey, Brandon Andrews; a number of nieces and nephews, and brother-in-law, Lowell Taylor (Faye).
Visitation will be Friday, November 14, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Central Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
