Joy Waddell Kerns

Joy Kerns, 71, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2007.
Mrs. Kerns was born on March 8, 1936 in Pitts, Georgia. She was a member of Word of Life Worship Center. Joy was employed as a Barber for many years with Horne’s Barber Shop. A wonderful homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her loving family. Her husband, James Edison Kerns and her parents, Benjamin and Thelma Waddell, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Stephen and Sandra Kerns, Warner Robins; Windy and John Bassham, Byron; grandchildren, Joshua McLemore, Sean Bassham, Salina Bassham; sister, Mary Fowler, Forsyth; brothers, John Waddell, Toomsboro; Robert Waddell, NC; Don Waddell, Pine Mountain; and Dickey Waddell, Moultrie.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 15, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be in Andersonville National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Word of Life Worship Center 650 Carl Vinson Parkway Warner Robins, Georgia 31093.
