A bright light went out when Joyce Ann Eddins left this earth on Saturday, May 29, 2021. She was 84 years old at the time of her passing.
The last surviving child out of 17, Joyce was born on November 7, 1936 to the late Thomas Ford and Millie Parker Ford in Alamance, North Carolina. Growing up in such a large family, Joyce dearly loved all the time spent with the ones she loved. She was a very active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed time fishing, playing cards, gardening and dancing. Joyce didn’t do anything halfway and lived her life to the fullest.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Eddins, Sr.; her daughter, Theresa “Terri” Ann McCarthy and her 16 siblings.
Left to cherish her memory include her son, Robert H. Eddins, Jr. (Michelle) of Haynesville; Sheila Phelps (Tim) of Cochran; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Fabian Franco and his staff for their many years of devoted care. The family would also like to express their appreciation to the staff of Summer’s Landing and The Lodge for their excellent care of Joyce in the last years of her life.
