Joyce Valeria "Val" Dimsdale Allmon

Joyce Valeria "Val" Dimsdale Allmon, 87, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017.

Mrs. Allmon, a native of Fitzgerald, Georgia, was the daughter of the late Harvey and Euna Dimsdale. She graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1948. Mrs. Allmon enjoyed working for the late Dr. Eugene Gosline and his beloved family for many years. She was also a lifelong member of Second Baptist Church and delighted in having lunch with her friends known as "the lunch bunch." Planting flowers and gardening, were two things that Mrs. Allmon adored, but spending time with her family was her favorite pastime.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allmon was preceded in death by her husband, WWII Veteran, Lethel Alton Allmon of Butler, Georgia; sons, Gary Alton Allmon and Gene Martin Allmon; and her brother, Donald Dimsdale (Marjorie).

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy A. Willett of Thomaston, Georgia; son, Robert E. Allmon of Smyrna, Tennessee; brother, Michael Dimsdale (Diane) of Warner Robins; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and lifelong best friend, Francis Faust of Warner Robins.

Visitation will be Friday, July 7, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Mrs. Allmon will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the graveside service at the Farmhouse at McCullough located behind McCullough Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be given in memory of Joyce "Val" Allmon to Second Baptist Church, 2504 Moody Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
