Juanita C. Kilgore, 86, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2007.
Mrs. Kilgore was born on January 24, 1921 in Hapeville, Georgia. She was a homemaker. Second Baptist Church of Warner Robins was her long-time church home before she moved to Eatonton, Georgia, where she was a member of Lakeshore Community Church. She was a volunteer with Twin Bridges Fire Department. She was also a member of NARFE, Ladies of the Lake, and the Happy Dozen Sewing Club. Her husband, James C. Kilgore, Sr. parents, William and Leacy Chambers, daughters, Marie Merritt and Evelyn Batchelor, sister, Rudene Jarrett, and brother, Charles Chambers, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Jemmia Collins, Eatonton; sons, James C. Kilgore, Jr. (Shirley), Fort Valley and William Martin, Roberta; brothers, William Elbert Chambers, Jr., Eatonton, Jack Chambers (Louise), Carrollton, and Harold Chambers (Barbara), Warner Robins; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and great, great- grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorials may be given to National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Boulevard, Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034.
