Judy Ernestine Cook, 79, entered into rest on Saturday, June 24, 2023.
Judy was born on July 15, 1943, in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Virgil and Mildred Morin. She moved away from Indiana to spend most of her life in Warner Robins, Georgia where she attended Oakland Baptist. Helping was something she always made time to do for others. Judy was a loving and supportive military wife to her husband, Elmo. She was an exceptional nurse who loved taking care of dementia patients and was an active participant with Meals on Wheels as a result. In her free time, Judy loved being outdoors and feeding deer and birds, walking, and spending time with her dog, Murphy.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of 60 years, Elmo Cook, Sr.; children, Ron Cook, Elmo Cook, Jr. (Bobbie Jo), and Tami Holovach (Mike); grandchildren, Mari Louise Bates (Rebecca), Jared Cook (Dallas), Emory Cook (Alexis), Tommy Cook, Autumn Woodall (the late Michael), Summer Martucci, and Dominic Dillard; brother, Thomas Morin (Anna); along with seven great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Judy will be privately laid to rest in Andersonville National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Judy Cook to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
