Julia Ann Collier, a beloved mother, caregiver, and friend, passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 72. Born in Perry, Georgia on February 2, 1952, and raised in Rupert, Georgia, Julia was a true example of love and kindness to all who knew her.

A graduate of Taylor County High School, Julia began her career at Southern Bell, where she worked for several years. As her children grew older, she dedicated her time to Kay Community Services Center, followed by working as a medical receptionist and CNA for Dr. Grantham and Dr. Duke in Fort Valley. Her kindness and dedication made her invaluable to each team she was a part of.

Julia loved spending time with her family and found joy in fishing and outdoor activities. She once proudly killed a deer while hunting with her husband, creating a cherished memory. Known for her great cooking skills, Julia delighted friends and family with gifts of pies and cakes.

A natural caregiver, Julia had a passion for helping others and a remarkable memory that made her stand out to all who met her. She will be remembered for her kindness and unwavering love for her family and friends. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram and Lois Jolly Harvey, brother, Robin Harvey, and brother-in-law, Doug Davis.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring husband of fifty-three years, Melvin Collier; sons, Steven Jeffrey Collier and Jonathan Brad Collier (Brandi); grandchildren, Brittney Werden (Donnie), Logan Collier, Catlyn Scheffer (Patrick “Shad”) and Trinity Collier (Tracey Folds; Jr.); great-grandchildren, Madilynn Scheffer, Waylon Werden and Westyn Werden; siblings, James W. Harvey (Bonnie), Mary McDaniel (Mike), Sue Davis and sister-in-law, Helen Harvey.

The memorial service, celebrating Julia’s life, will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Little Bethel Baptist Church at 1180 Little Bethel Church Road, Ideal, Georgia 31041.
