June M. Respert-Johnson

On the evening of January 8, 2018, June M. Respert-Johnson, 61, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven.

Mrs. Respert-Johnson was born on January 20, 1956 in Abbeville, Georgia to the late Walter and Annie Ruth Poole Payne. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and worked as a loan officer for Security Financial. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching both football and softball. She possessed a wonderful sense of humor, and was referred to as an “undercover comedian.” She enjoyed playing Spades and Bid Wiz with her friends and family. However, her greatest joy in life came from time spent with her children and grandchildren, and she made sure to document those times with lots of family pictures. Mrs. Respert-Johnson was a wonderfully devoted wife, mom, and friend.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring husband of twelve years, Homer Johnson; her children, Tracie Nicole Respert, Jennifer Respert, Jason Respert (Megan Sharrow), Tamika Hill (Jerome), and Marquis Johnson (Audrey); her grandchildren, Nya Jade, Kenadee Kai, Isaiah, Noah, Jozee, Jaden, Myles, and Jaxson; her sisters, Johnnie Ruth Brannen and Gayla Wilder (John); five nephews; and two nieces.

The memorial service celebrating Mrs. Respert-Johnson’s life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with the Reverend Josh Kirvin officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 5962 Zebulon Road, PMB #359, Macon, Georgia 31210 or the American Diabetes Association, 233 Peachtree Street, Harris Tower Suite 2225, Atlanta, Georgia 30303.
