J.W. Davis

J.W. Davis, 83, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2004 at Newton General Hospital. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, at Oakland Baptist Church, 1509 Russell Pkwy, Warner Robins, with interment following in Macon Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 13, from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis was born in Orland, GA. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and the Bob Dalton Sunday School Class. He was very active with the seniors and the Monday morning Bible Studies. He was a retired Jet Engine Mechanic from Robins Air Force Base and a veteran of the USAF (Ret. TSGT) during WWII, Korea and the Vietnam wars. His parents, T.E. Davis and Trudie Mae Coste, and his wife of 45 years, Anna Mary Davis, preceded him in death.

Survivors include sons, Jack W. Davis, Jr. (Cathie), Cochran, Robert Davis, Byron, James A. Davis (Vickie), Bonaire, John P. Davis (Kelly), Macon, Thomas E. Davis (Tammy Ray), Juliette; daughters, Patricia A. Witt (James), Perry, Linda K. Davis, Stockbridge, Sandra D. Higa, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jeremy, Stacey, Kate, Christine, Jamie, Ashley, Danny, Jonathan, Jennifer, Justin, and Dayna Davis, Nikki Reynolds, Michael Lemaster, Jake and Rebecca Witt, Michelle Higa and Angela Marie Stahl; and four great-grandchildren.
