It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Kandi Chambers. She passed away on July 5, 2022, in Mount Airy, at the age of 35.
Kandi was born on November 26, 1986, in East Point, Georgia to Mike Chambers and Dawn Walling. From the time she was young, she had a creative imagination and loved to craft into her adult years. When Kandi was older, she was eager to express her creativity in the form of hair and makeup and was excited to earn her certificate in Cosmetology from Surry Community College. She also worked as a Sales Associate with Harbor Freight. Kandi genuinely loved everyone she met and felt right at home talking and working with people for a living.
An amazing and one-of-a-kind mother; Kandi’s daughters saw her as their best friend. She also blessed her family in being the best daughter, granddaughter, cousin and friend anyone could ask for. A beautiful person inside and out, Kandi had a wonderful and spirited presence and saw the good in everyone; it was rare that she didn’t have a smile on her face. She was undeniably funny and had the uncanny ability to make people laugh. When she wasn’t at work or hanging out with family and friends, you could find Kandi shopping or grabbing a coffee from Starbucks. Kandi will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Kimberly Chambers; and her maternal grandparents, Ervine B. and Dorothy L. Ham.
Those left to cherish Kandi’s memory are her loving daughters, Addyson Grace Carroll and Claudia Joy Horton; her parents, Dawn and Eric Walling and David Michael Chambers; her maternal uncles and aunts, Bruce Ham, Mark Ham, Paul Ham and Paula Tarnawsky and their families; her paternal grandparents, Max and Ida Chambers; her paternal uncles, Greg Chambers, Daniel Chambers and Bill Chambers and their families; and numerous adoring cousins.
Kandi’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Cleghorn officiating. Kandi will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be given in memory of Kandi to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
