Karen Burleson Crawford, 74, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 11, 2022.
Karen was born on December 14, 1947, in Dallas, Texas to the late Thelma Jean Tarkington and Harry McClure Burleson. She met the love of her life, Ron, in a café in Dallas, Texas, and they wed August 28, 1969. They eventually made their home in Warner Robins, Georgia where Karen started a successful electrolysis business and Ron was employed at Robins Air Force Base. They had two sons, Ryan Douglas and Russell Walker.
Karen was a devoted Christian, vibrant, and strong of will. She took up the game of golf in 1989 and was a fierce competitor. She accomplished the rare feat of making a hole-in-one on all par threes at Southern Landings. Karen also self-published two books: Through My Eyes and Angels Aware. There was nothing she could not do.
Karen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ron, and is survived by her sons Ryan (Carey) and Russell (Andi); her grandchildren, Hannah, Joseph, Sam, and Henry; her brothers, Harry Burleson and Douglas Burleson; and many other family members and close friends.
The funeral service celebrating her life will be Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Cook officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service. Karen will be laid to rest in Arkansas at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Karen B. Crawford to the International Myeloma Foundation (www.myeloma.org/donate).
