Kathleen Blanton

Kathleen Blanton, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the afternoon of Saturday, April 15, 2017.

Kathleen was born on July 24, 1936 in London, England and was of the Catholic faith. A 50-plus year resident of Warner Robins, she was a career military wife and stay at home mother to her five children. Kathleen was also a part-time waitress at Huddle House. In her free time, she devoted much of her time to volunteer work with the VA hospitals and was a member of the Moose Lodge. Kathleen also had a soft spot for all animals, loved her family deeply, and enjoyed doting on her grandchildren. She was an online member of Centerpoint Church.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Robert Cecil Blanton; and her parents, Alfred G. and Kathleen Franklin Kay.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Robert M. Blanton, Deanna L. Mashburn, and Lori (William) Meeks, all of Warner Robins, Robert Cameron (Ashley) Blanton of Kathleen, and Jeremy Craig Blanton (Amy) of Warner Robins; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several adoring nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. At the family's request, Kathleen's burial will be private.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Kathleen Blanton to Warner Robins Animal Shelter, 208 Stalnaker Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
