Kathy Nell Shubert

Kathy Nell Shubert, 63, entered into rest on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

Kathy was born on September 18, 1959, in Macon, Georgia. She retired from Merc after an outstanding 30-year career. She was an outgoing person who was always smiling. She liked learning new things and never stopped trying to learn more throughout her life. She loved her chihuahua, Brutus, dearly. In her free time, she loved to crochet, craft with all the things she could find, made greeting cards to send to friends and family, and knit. She loved to travel and always looked for covered bridges. She also enjoyed water aerobics with friends and enjoyed lunching with her co-workers.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Shubert and Sara Manus, niece, Hunter Peavy, and brother-in-law, Terry Peavy.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her sister, Billie Peavy, and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Kathy Shubert to Southern Comfort Animal Rescue at 600 Vance Road, Tarrytown, GA 30470.
