Early on the morning of Tuesday, March 16, 2021, Kenneth Clovis Kelly, 88, joined his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Heaven.
Mr. Kelly was born on July 25, 1932, to the late Charles Clovis Kelly and Eva Mae Cofer Kelly. As an Educator at the Jefferson County Board of Education, Mr. Kelly invested into the young minds of his students for several years until his retirement. A man with deep faith roots and a solid foundation, Mr. Kelly was a devoted member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed attending the Asbury Sunday School Class. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, hope, and love and will be missed by the many lives he poured into throughout his lifetime.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by his daughter, Teri Leigh Kelly; sister, Kathryn Kelly Simmons (J.L.); and brother, Charles Kelly.
His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife of 65 years, June Bray Kelly of Athens; daughter, Sheri Kelly Blair (Rusty) of Athens; grandchildren, Scott Blair (Amanda) of Athens; Kelly Etchells (Chris) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and great-grandchildren, Cade, Abigail, and Luke.
