Kenneth David Gandy

Kenneth David Gandy, affectionately known as Ken, left us on February 25, 2025, at the age of 67. Born in Pavo, Georgia, on February 5, 1958, Ken spent his life turning the ordinary into the extraordinary with his vivid storytelling and his remarkable sense of humor. Though at times, a man of very few words with a tough exterior, he was one of the most kindhearted people around. Everyone knew Mr. Ken's house was a house made for everyone. A home of love, laughter and inclusion. If you weren't howling in laughter, you were eating and having a beer.

Ken was a Master of Building not just with bricks and beams, but also with the stories he lovingly crafted and shared. He owned a construction company for many years, which was a testament to his industrious spirit and determination. However, his greatest construct was his three girls.

Ken's parents, David and Lee Rita Gandy, predeceased him, but he leaves behind a legacy in his daughters: Karla (Nik) McDaniels, Melissa (Trey) McDowell, and Kimberly (Austin) McAtee; and his significant other of 15 years, Lacy Padgett. He was also a loving and devoted grandfather to his four grandchildren, Brooks, McKenna, Liam, and Beckett. They each represent a piece of Ken, and through them, his spirit will undoubtedly continue to shine.

We invite family and friends to pay their respects at McCullough Funeral Home on Monday, March 3, 2025. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. We will then lay Ken to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery, a final resting place for our beloved father.

Though we will no longer hear his stories in person, the chapters he wrote in our hearts will linger forever. We are left with smiles, laughter, and fond memories that echo his life.
