Kim Swain-Baker, 42, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 11, 2009.
Kim was born on October 16, 1967, in Macon. A civil servant, she was employed as a Dormitory Manager at Robins Air Force Base; she assisted new airmen in their transition into the community. She was a member of Harvest Church, where she attended Heather Rady's Sunday School Class and was a small group leader.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her beautiful and precious baby girl, Amber Lee Ruffner; parents, James J. Swain and Karen T. Swain, Bonaire; brothers, David (Tracy) Swain, Kathleen, and James J. Swain, Jr., Bonaire; a number of nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews; and dozens of other children who all called her "Mama Kim", including Angel Swain, and Leslie and Matt Burnam.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 12, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 13, 2009, at Harvest Church, Pastors Jim and Jennifer Cowart officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Jack and Jill of America Foundation, 1930 17th Street NW, Washington DC 20009, or Harvest Church, 3322 Highway 41, Byron GA 31008, or Angel Flight, Inc., 1515 East 71st Street, Suite 312, Tulsa OK 74136.
