A woman with the most beautiful soul and a heart of pure gold, Kristina Marie Dillon Bergeron, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021, at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Georgia. She was 47 years old.
Born on November 13, 1973, in Springfield, Illinois, Kristina was the daughter of Donna Bouvet Cannon and the late William Francis Dillon. At an early age, Kristina was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy and while the disease came with many challenges, it never stopped Kristina from doing what she loved. Kristina took delight in helping others. She would literally give you the shirt off her back or her last dollar without even a second thought. With her kind and honest words, Kristina changed many lives for the better. One could tell just by looking into her eyes that she was an understanding and compassionate person. If you ever had privilege of having Kristina smile at you, you would remember that beautiful, sincere, and sometimes silly smile, and it would stick with you all throughout the day. Her unconditional love was a light for all to see. All can be assured that when Kristina arrived in Heaven, Jesus embraced her with open arms and said, “daughter, you passed my test.”
In addition to her father, Kristina was preceded in death by her son, David Matthew Hudson; and brother, Casey William Dillon.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring husband, Roland Bergeron of Warner Robins; mother, Donna Bouvet Cannon of Smith Station, Alabama; sister, Jennifer Nation; as well as a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
The memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Kristina’s inurnment will be private. For friends and family unable to attend, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Kristina Marie Dillon Bergeron to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 152 N. Crest Boulevard #C, Macon, Georgia 31210.
