Kyle Ian Lemmond, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 37. Born on July 23, 1987, in Macon, Georgia, Kyle grew up in Warner Robins, where he developed a passion for life that was as vibrant as his personality.
A proud graduate of Houston County High School in 2005, Kyle possessed a boundless love for music, with Depeche Mode's “Violator” album holding a special place in his heart. His spirit was that of a big kid; he reveled in the joy of toys and action figures, and he was never without a collection of gadgets and trinkets to share with his cherished four nieces and nephews. He took immense joy in bringing them gifts and spending quality time, always eager to foster their imaginations and share in their laughter.
Kyle was an avid fan of movies, spanning from the thrill of horror films to the allure of low-budget cinema. His passion for the Game of Thrones novels and the accompanying television series brought him great joy, particularly in the intricate plots and characters. With a deep appreciation for all things imaginative, he also cherished the epic saga of Star Wars.
Known for his kind-hearted nature, Kyle had an unwavering desire to help others. His thoughtful demeanor often led him to put the needs of friends and family above his own, sometimes to the point of getting in the way. Yet, this trait only underscored his lovable personality and his deep connections with those he cared about.
Kyle shared a particularly close bond with his Memaw, who was his greatest champion and supporter. Their relationship was filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories, a testament to the strong family ties that defined his life.
Though his time with us was far too short, Kyle's legacy of love, kindness, and joy will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
Kyle was preceded in death by his father, David Lemmond; and grandparents, Jack Lemmond, Nancy Lemmond, Bob Dycus, and Sue Dycus.
He is survived by his mother, Pamela Lemmond; brother, Matthew (Jackie); nephew, Jackson; nieces, Scarlett, Abbie, and Izzy; uncles, Freddie Lemmond and Randy Lemmond; and aunts, Diane Palmer and Donna Holt.
In celebration of Kyle's life, a memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with a memorial service immediately following in the chapel. Afterward, Kyle will be laid to rest at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
