L. Maxine Rogers, 71, of Warner Robins, Georgia, formerly of Graves County, Kentucky passed away October 11, 2005 at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 4:30 PM on Thursday, October 13, 2005 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, October 13, 2005 from 2:30 until 4:30 PM at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held prior to interment at North Mount Zion Cemetery in Graves County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 248 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd., PMB 437, Macon, Georgia 31210-1815.
Maxine retired from Robins Air Force Base after 45 years of service. Her last several years were spent in the audiology department. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society and a member of Central Baptist Church of Warner Robins. Her parents, Hubert and Gladys Rodgers; sister, Mary Lou Rodgers; brother, Conrad Rodgers, preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Betty Maynard, Pilot Oak, Kentucky; two brothers, John Rodgers, Sedalia, Kentucky; Dillard Rodgers, Mayfield, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Shane Maynard and his wife Delana, Wayne Maynard and his wife Edwina, her niece, Camille Rodgers House and her husband Brad. Honorary Pallbearers will include great nieces and great nephews, Shayla Maynard, Nathan Maynard, Shayna Maynard, and Jeremiah Maynard.
Services will be conducted by Reverend Sydney Odom and David Gould.
