Ladosca G. Crowder

Hagar Ladosca Gladden Crowder, 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

Ladosca was born on July 19, 1925, in Caddo Gap, Arkansas to the late Oscar and Odie Mae Robbins Gladden. She graduated from Skene High School in 1945, where she was crowned Miss Skene. She held many interesting jobs including South Central Bell Telephone, making furniture at Desota Furniture Company for Sears Roebuck, and Nursery Director for Highland Baptist in Jackson, Mississippi for 20 years. In 1991, she’d relocate to Warner Robins, Georgia. Here, she spent time volunteering for the Houston Medical Center auxiliary and serving at Green Acres Baptist Church, where she was a member for many years. She also loved to sew clothing and other items for family and friends. Ladosca’s family, particularly her grandchildren, were the focus of her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Crowder.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Michael Dwain Crowder (Julie) of Columbia, SC, and Anica Hollar (Robert) of Kathleen, GA; grandchildren, Jacob Crowder, Josh Crowder (Melissa), Haley Pearce (Tra), Matt Papizan, Chase Crowder (Rebecca), and Carly Crowder Schenk (Neil); siblings, Flossie Mae Doyle (Claude) of Hot Springs, AR, Mary Elizabeth Kelly of Olive Branch, MS, and Gloria Maureen Daniel of Hernando, MS; along with 11 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be Monday, April 10, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Ladosca will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Ladosca G. Crowder to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
