Laffey Staton, Jr.

Laffey Staton, Jr., 54, entered into rest on Saturday, February 27, 2010.

Mr. Staton was born on October 15, 1955 in Logan, West Virginia. With pride and honor he served his country and retired from the United States Air Force in 1994. He was employed by the Houston County Sheriff's Department and held the rank of Corporal. His parents, Laffey and Gladys Staton, Sr., brother, Jim Staton and sister, Sharon Kaye Casey, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his sons, Michael Staton and Daniel Staton, both of Warner Robins, Christopher Staton, Centerville; daughter, Ashlee Staton, Augusta; grandson, Mikey Weaver; sister, Rose Bell, Chapmanville, West Virginia; niece, Melinda Barr, Warren, Ohio; nephews, Glenn Nelson, Logan, West Virginia, Tony Casey and Aaron Casey, both of Henlawson, West Virginia and friend and former spouse, Debbie Staton, Milledgeville.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
