Lang Dinh Tran, 75, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2007.
Mr. Tran was born on August 13, 1932, in Vinh Binh, Khanh Hoa, Vietnam. He left Saigon on April 29, 1975 and arrived in Warner Robins on November 14, 1975. He was soon employed by Packaging Corporation of America, from which he retired in 1997.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church since 1975 as well as a member of the Middle Georgia Vietnamese Association. He loved to travel, fish and care for his garden. On March 22, 2000, Mr. Tran became a United States citizen, a momentous day for him and a cherished one.
His daughter, Anna Tran, son, Phong Tran and parents, Khuong Dinh Tran and Bay Thi Tran, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Chuong Thi Tran, Warner Robins; children, Tung Tran, Lan Tran, Long Tran, Mai Tran, Nga Tran, all of Vietnam; Linda Lin (Bi Kui), John Tran, Lisa Tran , Warner Robins; Loan Tran, Florida; Nancy Tran and David Tran, Atlanta; Peter Tran, Athens; seventeen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five siblings.
There will be a rosary on Friday, October 5, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. with visitation to follow from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2007, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
