Lari Sue Johnson

At Emory University Hospital, in Atlanta, Georgia, 68 year old Lari Sue Goodson Johnson passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021.

Born on January 21, 1953, in Atlanta, Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Roy Lamar and Rita Elizabeth Winkinhoffer Goodson. Mrs. Johnson worked for several years as a PMEL Planner at Robins Air Force Base before her retirement. In her spare time, she loved learning about history, watching football, and reading books written by Barbara Cartland. She also enjoyed listening to classical music and to her favorite artist, Barbara Streisand.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Scott Johnson; and brother, Russell Goodson.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring husband of 48 years, Charles W. Johnson of Kathleen; daughter, Jennifer A. Johnson; son, Zachary J. Johnson; and siblings, Roy Lamar Goodson, Jr. (Kim) of Byron, Georgia; and Robert Christopher Goodson of Vancouver, Washington.

Visitation with her family will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home on Monday, September 27, 2021. The funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson’s inurnment will be private.
