Larry Dean Collins

Larry Dean Collins passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at the age of 64. He was born in Macon, GA on June 15, 1958 to the late Otis and Myrtle Collins.

Larry was a reserved, simple man, who enjoyed the simple things in life, including being at home with the family he dearly loved and doting on his sweet dog, Georgia, who he treated like his own child. He had a special bond with his brother-in-law, Bob; Larry considered him to be his dad. Until he became disabled, Larry worked at Wal-Mart and Alamo Rent a Car. Apart from that, he truly enjoyed the peace and quiet while being at home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Faye Schwandt.

Larry is survived by his siblings, Donnie Collins and J.T. Collins (Beth), both of Perry; brother-in-law, Bob Schwandt; significant other, Linda Hillard of Dudley; stepdaughter, Jessica West; and several adoring nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2023, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Cleghorn officiating.
