Larry E. Campbell

Larry E. Campbell, 74, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon, June 3, 2011 at McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Mr. Campbell was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina on September 15, 1936 to Ruby and Leroy Campbell. He has lived in Warner Robins since 1972. A Benvenue High School graduate, Mr. Campbell served in the United States Air Force and traveled all over with his family. He retired from service in 1977 and then began a second career at Robins Air Force Base working in Personnel Services, retiring from there in 1991. Larry was an avid golfer and excelled on golf courses around the country and in Europe. He will be missed very much by friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, Warner Robins; son, Stefan L. Campbell, Prague; daughter, Susan Cole (Anthony), Crane Hill, Alabama; grandchildren, Brittany Scott and Travis Walker; mother, Ruby Campbell, Rocky Mount; brother, Bobby Campbell (Kathy), Denver, Colorado; and sisters, Janet Weeks (Bob), Richmond, Virginia, Lois Barnes (Don), Rocky Mount, and Brenda Spivey (Wayne), Benson, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon GA 31201.
