On Tuesday morning, April 3, 2018 Mr. Larry Edward Cosey passed peacefully away at his residence. Mr. Cosey, or “L.C.” or "Papa" as he was known to many, was born in Reynolds, Georgia in 1937 to the late Robert E. and Lois Horton Cosey. He was a 1956 graduate of Reynolds High School, where he met Camille Cook Cosey, his high school sweetheart. They were married in December of 1959. Together they raised a beautiful family and shared 58 wonderful years of marriage.
After high school Mr. Cosey attended technical college in Atlanta, receiving numerous certifications in electronics. He was employed and later retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base as an Electronics Technician. During his time at Robins AFB he was credited, along with Mr. Bill Armor, for designing special testing equipment for the C-141 radar system. Never one to sit still, during these years he also owned and operated Cosey’s TV Sales and Service in Reynolds and following retirement from Civil Service, he went to work for Georgia Power from which he also later retired. Additionally, he enjoyed working part-time for McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robins, where he was able to work alongside his son, Jeff. In his spare time Mr. Cosey was an avid woodworker; he had a passion for it and was truly gifted with his hands. Those who knew him would agree that he could do just about anything. A gentle soul with a quick smile and charming personality, he was always happy to spend time outside in the country. As much as anything though, he loved spending time with the family he and Ms. Camille built. He was deeply proud of them all. He was a member of Reynolds United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cosey was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Barody.
Mr. Cosey is survived by his loving wife, Camille Cosey; daughter, Beth Williamson (Jimmy), Reynolds; son, Jeff Cosey (Angie), Reynolds; daughter, Amy Harrelson (Jamey), Perry; daughter, Christy Lynch (Michael), Columbus; nine grandchildren, Amanda Watson (Collier), Daniel Williamson (Kelli), Blake Williamson (Mesa), Nathan Williamson, Joshua Cosey (Tina), Kyle Cosey, Ethan Wilder, Jay Harrelson, Emily Lynch, Elaine Lynch; five great-grandchildren, Jackson Cosey, Jenson Cosey, Eli Watson, Emersyn Watson, Hudson Watson; and his sister, Susan Martin (Tony), Gray, GA.
