Larry George Berry, 64, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2006 in his home. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2006 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with full military honors. A reception is to follow the service at the VFW post 6605, 1105 Corder Road, Warner Robins Georgia.
Mr. Berry was born on August 20, 1942 in Standish, Michigan. He is the second of three children born to the union of Kenneth Lloyd and Betty E. Berry (Wiseman). He entered the United States Army in 1959, the United States Air Force in 1965, and the FAA in 1981, the Department of Defense in 1992 and retiring in 2002. His was in the 1st Moble Communications Group in Vietnam 1964-1965 and 1968-1970. He earned the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, AF Longevity Service Award Ribbon with the 40 LC, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with the 20 LC, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, The AF Presidential Unit Citation with the 40LC, the AF Outstanding Unit Award with the 10 LC, and the AF Good Conduct Medal with the 50LC, August 29, 1961 through August 31, 1981. He was a member of the 78th Operations Support Squadron 1992-2002. He was a member of the VFW post 6605 and The American Legion. His mother, Betty Wiseman Berry, and grandparents, Lloyd and Sarah Berry; Thomas and Lean Wiseman, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his former wife, Bawana Sanders, Warner Robins; father, Kenneth Lloyd Berry, Alger, Michigan; daughter, Stephanie Marie Dawn Ollikainen (Andrew), Atlanta; son, Kenneth Lloyd Berry, Warner Robins; sisters, Sherri Markx (Patrick), Alger, Michigan; and Christie Charnoske (Nick), Alger, Michigan.
